| Announcing the ASI-500 ARINC-566A Control Simulator |

Description of Operation: The ASI-500-1 Control Head Simulator is a stand alone universal control system capable of controlling a wide range of communications transceivers, navigation units, ADF, DME, and transponder systems. The ASI-500 may be paired with virtually any interface panel system whenever the control application requires parallel BCD or 2x5 switching for the UUT. The ASI-500 interconnects directly to the ASI-2000 (via the supplied ASI-10-500A cable) for manual testing of Pro Line units. The ASI-500-2 is identical to the ASI-500-1 except that it also has the ability to tune 8.33 kHz spacing per ARINC-566A. An optional AC inverter (ASI-600-1) is available which mounts directly on the rear of the ASI-500. The AC Inverter converts 28vdc to 26vac 400 Hz required for VOR navigation synchro bearing excitation. The AC inverter may be purchased separate (ASI-600-1) for existing ASI-500-1's or purchased installed on the ASI-500 indicated by the AC behind the ASI-500 model number. The ASI-500 is available in four different configurations: ASI-500-1 Standard Control Head Simulator (without ARINC 566A capability) ASI-500-1AC Standard Control Head Simulator with AC Inverter (ASI-600-1) installed ASI-500-2 Control Head Simulator with ARINC 566A (8.33 kHz) capability ASI-500-2AC Control Head Simulator with ARINC 566A (8.33 kHz) capability with AC Inverter (ASI-600-1) installed. Specifications: Height: 3.50", Width: 19.00", Depth: 13.00" Power: None required or 28 vdc for AC units. Equipment Supplied: ASI-10-500A, Cable: ASI-500 to ASI-2000 Optional Equipment: ASI-600-1 AC Inverter: Converts 28 vdc to 26 vac 400 Hz. |
