| Description: Designed to provide all necessary interface functions to test a variety of VHF COM transceivers. This unit is manufactured to replace the OEM model and/or part number listed below in form, fit, and function. Equivalent OEM: HTS, Equivalent MN: HTS-20 (Replaces LT-5) Equivalent PN: 2900-00020-000, Units tested: Various Description of Operation: The ASI-20 Communications Test Panel is designed to provide all necessary interface functions to test a variety of VHF COM transceivers. All commands needed to channelize the UUT are generated by a microprocessor interface system. Frequency is conveniently selected by front panel switches and displayed on a backlit LCD display for easy viewing. The following tuning methods are supported and selected by means of the MODE switch: ARINC 2x5, Parallel and Inverse BCD, ARINC 429, Collins Pro Line II, CSDB, ARINC 566A (8.33 kHz). The general nature of this Test Panel allows it to test a large variety of units; as a result of this, some interpolation of the Test Panel functions may be necessary to follow the manufacturer's test procedure. The ASI-20 will replace the Linaire LT-5 Communications Test Panel and run all existing LT-5 test interconnect cables. Optional test cables available from ASI are listed below.
