AVIONICS SPECIALIST, INC.

was founded in Memphis, Tennessee in 1973 by LeRoy J. Dahler. ASI was one of the first aviation service suppliers to be located at an off-airport location. This choice reduced overhead costs, and the savings were passed on to customers. At the time, most other aviation companies thought it was impossible to support the avionics service needs of aviation companies without leasing space at an airport. The choice of performing avionics service work at an off-airport location made Avionics Specialist an innovator - a trend that continues today.

Today, LeRoy Dahler serves as Chairman of the Board and the day to day management of the business has been passed down to his five children. Roger P. Dahler serves as President/CEO, David M. Dahler serves as Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer, Laurie Dahler Vaughn serves as Chief Financial Officer/Chief Information Officer, Mark G. Dahler serves as Director of Refurbishing & Eric L. Dahler serves as Director of Engineering.

As a manufacturer, supplier and repair shop for avionics and test equipment, Avionics Specialist serves over 8,000 customers in the air transport, general aviation and military markets. ASI manufactures its own brand of Avionics Test Equipment and is a leading parts dealer for Collins Aerospace, Honeywell, Telephonics and Chelton(Wulfsberg) among others. Much of the continued success of ASI can be attributed to a substantial amount of in-house expertise; with a number of technicians having more than 40 years of experience. ASI offers a level of talent that is exceptional in the industry. Because ASI builds and repairs test equipment and electronics, this talented staff knows what to look for when servicing it. This wealth of service knowledge is also used to improve future product designs.

Service arrangements, such as scheduling calibrations, inspections, overhauls and repairs, in addition to spare parts and equipment requirements, are all handled efficiently through our dedicated Customer Service Department. ASI's fully capable in-house Customer Service Representatives are experienced in understanding and serving the specific needs of the aviation industry.
