WENDELL LAW is an honorably discharged veteran from the United States Coast Guard. While serving in
the Coast Guard as an Aviation Electronics Technician, flight mechanic, and SAR Aircrew, he performed
helicopter maintenance, avionics troubleshooting, and search and rescue operations out of Coast Guard
Air Station Savannah GA.
After leaving the Coast Guard in February 1985, he started at Avionics Specialist Inc. as a communication
and navigation technician. He has been with Avionics Specialist Inc. for 31 years and is currently
Director of Technical Services and Director of Training. He provides leadership expertise for all avionics
service operations, test equipment repair and calibration operations, test equipment manufacturing,
technician training, customer support, and sales.
Wendell holds a Master of Science in Business Administration/Finance from the University of Memphis.
He also holds a Master of Business Administration in Aviation, A Bachelor of Science in Professional
Aeronautics, and an Associate of Science in Aviation Business Administration from Embry Riddle
Aeronautical University along with an Associate of Applied Science in Telecommunications Engineering
Technology from State Technical Institute at Memphis. He holds an FAA Repairman’s Certificate and an
FCC General Radio Telephone Operators License. Wendell is a Certified Master Instructor and a Certified
Aircraft Electronics Technician by the National Center for Aerospace and Transportation Technologies.
He is a Certified IPC-A-610 Instructor by the Association of Connecting Electronic Industries.
Wendell has spent 5 years on the adjunct faculty staff with Embry Riddle Aeronautical University
and Southwest Tennessee Community College teaching classes in Aviation Project Management and electronics.
He is currently a member of the industry advisory boards for the Tennessee College of Applied Technology
Aviation Campus, Southwest Tennessee Community College, and ITT Technical Institute Cordova Campus.
