ASI Warranty Policy
Avionics Specialist, Inc. warrants all repaired or overhauled avionics equipment, instruments and test equipment against defects in materials and workmanship for the period of time outlined below. If A.S.I. receives notice of such defects during the warranty period, A.S.I. will repair or replace parts that prove to be defective provided that the repaired product is returned to the Avionics Specialist, Inc. Service Center which performed the original repair, subject to the following provisions:
Notice of the defect is given to Avionics Specialist, Inc. within the warranty time period.
The defect is related to the original repair work performed. Defects not covered include: Aircraft system deficiencies, customer caused damage/misuse, shipping or handling damage, or exposure to environmental conditions in excess of those published in the equipment specifications.
Equipment returned to A.S.I.'s service center must be packed in the original shipping container or equivalent.
Warranty is void if any attempt is made to repair defective units, without the express permission of A.S.I.
Avionics Specialist, Inc.'s obligation shall be limited to that specified herein, and in no event will ASI be responsible for consequential damages.
ASI Warranty Time Period and Limitations
Flat rate overhaul and exchange of all instruments, including remote gyros - unconditional (12) twelve months or (500) five hundred hours from date of shipment, whichever comes first, on all parts and labor.
Time and materials overhaul or repair of all instruments including remote gyros - (12) twelve months from date of repair on parts and labor. Warranty limited to specific repair accomplished.
Flat rate overhaul and exchange of all avionics equipment - unconditional (12) twelve months from date of shipment on all parts and labor.
Time and materials overhaul or repair of all avionics equipment - (12) twelve months from date of overhaul or repair on parts and labor. Warranty limited to specific repair accomplished.
Time and materials repair of all test equipment - (3) three months from date of repair on parts and labor. Warranty limited to specific repair accomplished.
Sale or exchange of overhauled test equipment - (6) six months from date of shipment on all parts and labor.
All warranty repairs must be performed by:
