Avionics Specialist, Inc. was founded in 1973 by LeRoy Dahler and was one of the first aviation suppliers to not be located on the premises of an airport. This choice reduced overhead costs, which were passed on to customers, and it made the company an innovator - a trend that continues today. At the time, no other companies thought it was possible to support aviation companies without leasing space at an airport.

As a manufacturer, supplier and repair shop for avionics and test equipment, Avionics Specialist serves over 4000 customers in the air transport, general aviation and military markets. We are also a leading parts dealer for Rockwell Collins, Honeywell, Telephonics and Chelton(Wulfsberg) among others.
